Welcoming a new bundle of joy into the world is a joyous occasion worth celebrating! If you’re planning a baby shower and are seeking a gender-neutral theme that’s exudes glam, class and sweetness, look no further! With its whimsical appeal and versatility, a baby block theme is sure to create a memorable and delightful experience for everyone involved. I’lll guide you through the process of recreating this fabulous neutral baby block themed baby shower that will leave guests amazed and the parents-to-be filled with joy.

Setting the Tone With Invitations

The first step in planning a baby block themed baby shower is to set the tone with captivating invitations. Consider designing invitations in the shape of baby blocks, or use baby block motifs neutral designs to convey the theme. Add a touch of creativity by incorporating charming phrases like “Building Blocks of Love”.

Tablescape and Tableware

The main piece of the my baby shower was the candy cart! This is where I put the cake and all the other treats for the shower. I purchased this candy cart from Etsy. It was relatively easy to put together and it was incredibly sturdy. It held up a medium sized cake, candy and drinks with no problem! We are definitely keeping this cart and using for future birthdays and parties.

To decorate the candy cart, I used:

*Note: If you’re not using a candy cart, you can place these items on your dessert table.

If you don’t want to use a candy cart like I did you can go with a basic table with a white or beige tablecloth. For the guest tables, elevate the baby block theme with a thoughtfully designed tablescape. Use white or light-colored tablecloths as a base. Incorporate small decorative blocks as placeholders or napkin holders. Choose tableware in coordinating colors, such as beige (or whichever neutral or pastel color you choose) plates, cups, and utensils, to tie the theme together. Consider adding customized name tags shaped like baby blocks to make each guest feel extra special.

Entrance

At the door of the venue, we purchased a poster stand and a had a welcome poster made using Zazzle (our invitations looked similar to this sign). To complement the sign welcoming everyone to the baby shower, we put large clear & white baby blocks next to the stand and filled them with beige and white balloons.

If you’re looking to go another route with your color scheme, choose a soft and soothing color palette, such as pastel shades of yellow, mint green, and baby blue, to maintain the neutral ambiance. Hang baby block-shaped banners or garlands across the room along with balloons.

Sweets and Treats

No baby shower is complete without a delectable spread of treats. Create a dessert table that dazzles with baby block-themed goodies. We chose to go with a white baby block themed cake. The blocks on the cake were completely edible and made out of rice krispie treats! We chose to offer an assortment of candy on our candy cart but you can also serve bite-sized cookies, cupcakes adorned with edible baby blocks, and cake pops in white or neutral colors. Personalize the treats by adding edible alphabet letters or numbers on top. Consider serving a variety of candies, like jelly beans or gummy bears.

We opted for serving our guests champagne with a sweet twist. We called it “Cloud 9 Fizzy”. We made this drink by dissolving about 2 tablespoons of cotton candy into the champagne. We also added cotton candy to the side of the glass as a garnish. They went perfectly with our white whimsical theme.

Gifts and Favors

A baby block-themed shower wouldn’t be complete without adorable gifts and thoughtful favors. Encourage guests to bring gifts that align with the baby block theme, such as baby block stacking toys, block-patterned blankets, or onesies with block designs. As a token of appreciation, offer guests small favors like mini baby block keychains, personalized candies, or handmade scented candles in the shape of blocks. We chose to go with all natural soaps in a pretty clear wrapping secured with ribbon. On the soaps we had labels made that said “From our shower to yours”.

Fun Activities and Games

Keep the excitement alive by organizing baby block-themed activities and games. Set up a baby block decorating station where guests can personalize wooden blocks using non-toxic paints and markers. Encourage everyone to contribute a heartfelt message or a wish for the baby. Additionally, consider hosting a baby block tower building contest or a memory game featuring baby-related items. These activities will ensure the shower is interactive and entertaining for all attendees.

A neutral baby block themed baby shower is a charming and whimsical way to celebrate the impending arrival of a little one. By paying attention to details, from invitations to decorations, tablescapes to activities, you can create an atmosphere that is as beautiful as it is enjoyable.
